On Duff McWhalen's stage, the body part of the Falcon Armor can be acquired. Use it to pull yourself upwards to the secret room where the Falcon Armor Arms are located, in Dr. Get to the right of this robot, and then jump up and grab the side of the hole in the ceiling. About halfway up this pathway, you will see shots coming from a hole in the ceiling above, guarded by a roving indestructible robot. As you go through the beginning of this last area, you will go up a pathway heading rightward (with an upwards slant in it). At the end of Izzy Glow's stage, you will meet up with a great number of wall-mounted guns that can either be ignored, or damaged with the C-Shot.
#MEGAMAN X5 UPGRADES UPGRADE#
This is a pretty obvious upgrade capsule to find, although in order to find it you'll need the C-Shot (so make sure you've defeated Grizzly Slash before attempting this, or you'll be going for nothing).
It's all about memorizing the course and the location of the crystals. This area will take a lot (and we mean a lot) of practice to master, so don't get discouraged if you don't get it right away! Chances are, you'll be working at this one for a while. Collecting these eight blue crystals is vital, because without even one of them, the door at the end of the ride won't be able to be destroyed, revealing a hidden room where the capsule holding this upgrade is located. It's hard enough getting through this part alive, nonetheless having to collect the eight blue crystals that appear throughout the ride. In the very beginning of Squid Adler's stage, you'll automatically be riding on a motorized vehicle heading rightward. This is definitely one of the most frustrating items to acquire in the game.
If executed right, you'll be able to grab the wall above rather easily, where you can pull yourself up to the capsule holding the upgrade we seek.
To get up to the hole so you can grab the walls and pull yourself up to the secret area above, cling to the wall below the hole and dash jump left and up, and then curve back in. However, if you want to grab this upgrade, look for a hole in the ceiling as you head rightward (it's easy to spot). At this point, all you need to do is go right a little bit to find Grizzly Slash's lair. Near the very end of the stage, X will finally be shot off of the trucks to some stable ground.
